In addition to what you may know already, here is a list of websites/links that may be of use to you. Feel free to ask any UVA buddies about these too!

UVA Events/Updates:
-University Programs Council (UPC): This group plans tons of activites, movie nights, etc. for UVA students https://www.facebook.com/UVAUPC/
-WUVA News: This is a student-run news organization which posts interesting UVA-related videos if you are interested: https://www.facebook.com/wuvanews/
-Multicultural Student Center: This can be a good study place https://www.facebook.com/MSCatUVA/

UVA Transportation:
-Charlottesville Area Transit (CAT): this is the public (not university) bus system in Charlottesville. You do not have to pay, but you do need your student ID to ride for free. The "7" (Monday-Saturday) or the "10" (Sundays) line will take you to "Barracks" (which is a shopping area very close to UVA). You can also download the app to see stops/stop times near you.
-University Transit Service (UTS): These are the UVA bus stops that mainly go only around grounds. The "Northline" will take you to the "Barracks" shopping center, but the CAT is faster when going back to grounds. The app for this is called "Rider" in the app store.

-Lou's List: This website is a user-friendly way to look at all the classes UVA offers or has offered in the past. You can see which classes are available, their times, locations, and if they are full: https://rabi.phys.virginia.edu/mySIS/CS2/
Textbooks:
You can find used textbooks at the bookstore, use your UVA email for an Amazon prime discount (highly recommend while you're here), or speak to your professor/classmates to see how they are going about things.
